Renovated courthouse may be named for Miner

Joe Gentile is reporting in the Register Star the Columbia County Board of Supervisors County Government Committee Tues., June 24, voted unanimously to have the renovated county courthouse in Hudson named in honor of the late Judge Roger Miner, senior judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Board Chairman Pat Grattan said once renovations are complete an official dedication ceremony will be held. Miner began his legal career in Hudson. He served as Columbia County District Attorney from 1968 to 1975. He was appointed by President Ronald Reagen to the U.S. Court of Appeals in 1985. In 1987, Miner was one of three candidates on the shortlist for the U.S. Supreme Court. Read the full story in the Register Star.
