Greenville Legislator chosen as majority leader

Ariel Zangla is reporting in the Daily Freeman the Greene County Legislature has a new majority leader. At a meeting Wed., Jan. 2, the county’s Republican lawmakers chose Kevin Lewis of Greenville to serve as the Legislature’s majority leader. Lewis is starting his second three-year term on the Legislature. He succeeds Keith Valentine of Catskill. Democrats once again chose James Van Slyke of New Baltimore to serve as minority leader.
