School Board President Tammi Kellenbenz called Brown’s retirement well deserved. “She has always kept our students as the priority when making decisions regarding budget and personnel,” Kellenbenz said. Brown, a longtime Germantown resident, was appointed superintendent after serving for eight years as the district’s elementary principal. Before coming to Germantown, Brown had a reputation as an exceptional classroom teacher when employed by the Hudson City School District.
