Cornwallville Cemetery suggested for state, national historic places register

Tim Blydenburgh is reporting in the Times Union Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office Wed., Sept. 28, released a list of 22 sites recommended statewide by the New York State Board for Historic Preservation to the State and National Registers of Historic Places. The list included: The Cornwallville Cemetery in Cornwallville, Greene County, the International Shirt and Collar Company building in Troy, Rensselaer County, and the Poughkeepsie and Connecticut Stanfordville Station in Standfordville, Dutchess County. Once the recommendations are approved, the properties are listed on the New York State Register of Historic Places. They are then nominated to the National Register of Historic Places, where once approved, the properties are entered on the National Register. Read the full story in the Times Union.
