the music of Amir Koushkani an Iranian musician now resident in Canada. He plays the classical lute known as Tar and we hear him in duo performance with a Tombak (drum) player and in a trio with a percussionist and a clarinetist. Music from around the world is featured. Bringing the audience into the realm of other cultures through music, hopefully expanding empathy for the “other,” and recognizing that “other” in ourselves.
