Dennis Darrah hosts and features musicians from Mali. The music of Bassekou Kouyate is featured today. He plays the West African lute known as Ngoni, which comes in different sizes and tonalities. His band, Ngoni Ba, utilizes a number of Ngoni as well as voices and drums.

Music from around the world is featured. Bringing the audience into the realm of other cultures through music, hopefully expanding empathy for the “other”, and recognizing that “other” in ourselves.
