Plane crashes into Hudson River

Lissa Harris at The Watershed Post rounds up the coverage of the small plane that crashed into the Hudson River near Germantown and Catskill about 4:30 p.m. Thurs, May 2. "According to multiple news accounts, the plane was on fire as it sank beneath the surface of the water. At least one person is presumed dead in the crash, the Times Union reports, and responders on the scene had not yet been able to find the plane as of 8 p.m.," Harris wrote. The Daily Freeman reports it was a pontoon plane that had taken off from Columbia County Airport in Ghent.
