Pine Haven clears hurdle with state Dept. of Health

Nathan Mayberg reports in the Register Star the proposal to replace the existing Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Philmont with a new building has been granted conditional approval by the state Department of Health. The proposal calls for replacement of the existing facility with another twice the size. Pine Haven is owned and operated by Columbia County. Base construction costs for the new structure are estimated at $32 million. Detailed construction drawings must now be produced and submitted to the state for approval before bidding on the construction phase of the project can begin. Read the full story in the Register Star.
