iPads for everyone at ICC

May 11, 2014 12:02 am
Emilia Teasdale in The Columbia Paper reports that the Ichadbod Crane Central School District spent $1.2 million upgrading technology, including new network servers, fiber cable, wireless access throughout the district’s buildings, and new computers, including iPads for many teachers and administrators. Thirty-nine percent say they use the iPads regularly for teaching, a survey showed, at the board's May 6 meeting. Others, though, said the district's network was not reliable, making them expensive doorstops. School Superintendent George Zini said high school students would get iPads for school work in the 2015-16 school year and middle school students in 2016-17. See the full story in The Columbia Paper.
