W.T. Eckert reports in The Daily Mail Greene County has been included in the major disaster declaration following superstorm Sandy. The announcement was made Tues., Dec. 18, by U.S. senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand. The declaration makes the county eligible for assistance for debris removal, emergency protective measures and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities.
