Greene Co. to receive Sandy funding

W.T. Eckert reports in The Daily Mail Greene County has been included in the major disaster declaration following superstorm Sandy. The announcement was made Tues., Dec. 18, by U.S. senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand. The declaration makes the county eligible for assistance for debris removal, emergency protective measures and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities. Funding is still due to Greene County from FEMA and the State Emergency Management Office for damage suffered during storms Irene and Lee. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
