I’ve really been enjoying the great late-night feel of these new LPs by The Frightening Lights and Wonderfuls on Bruit Direct Disques, which I decided to start the show off with. Like the last time around, I also mixed in a few older releases and a couple of titles from the past few months that I wanted to re-visit, too. There’s some old favorites by Major Stars and Double Leopards tucked in there and I spun another track from that excellent compilation on Vitrine called Map of the Interior. Serpico, is the former New York City police officer made famous for exposing police corruption. His efforts resulted in the appointment of the Knapp Commission in 1970 by Mayor John Lindsay. Serpico became even better known following the release of the film, "Serpico" with Al Pacino in the title role. Hosted by Ed Fertik.
