Many candidates for election this November in Greene County participated in the Town and Country Women’s Network "Meet the Candidates Forum" Oct. 1 at the Washington Irving Senior Center in Catskill. Candidates that spoke at the event included from Athens, Gene Hatton (R), Legislator, District 3; from Cairo, Ted Banta (D), Town Supervisor, and Gary Warner (R), Town Board; from Catskill, Crane Davis (D), Joseph Kozloski (D), Kevin Lennon (D), Vincent Seeley (I), Legislature, District 1, Doreen Davis (D), Town Supervisor, and Patrick McCulloch (D), Town Board; from Coxsackie, Thomas Hobart (R), Legislature, District 2, Rick Hanse (R), Patrick Kennedy (D), Town Supervisor Tom Burke (D), Ted Ferenczy (R) Jerry Meigs (D), Mike Veeder (R), Town Board, and Larry Ross (D), Highway Superintendent; from Durham, Joan Breslin (R), Shawn Marriott (R), Town Board and Aidan O'Connor (D), Legislature, District 9; and from Windham, Lori Torgersen (D), Legislature, District 6. The event was hosted by the Town and Country Women’s Network, the local chapter of the New York State Federation of Business and Professional Women.
