The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts, east central New York and southern Vermont for Tues., June 3. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop late Tuesday morning and persist into the evening. Any thunderstorms will be capable of producing locally heavy downpours and gusty winds. Thunderstorms are expected to move toward the east or or northeast at 10 to 20 mph. The locally heavy downpours will likely lead to ponding of water in low-lying, poor drainage and urban areas.
