Casey Seiler in Capitol Confidential reports that the state Gaming Commission’s casino siting board picked Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady for one of three casino licenses. Montreign Resort Casino in the Town of Thompson, Sullivan County, and the Lago resort proposed for the Town of Tyre in Seneca County, were the other choices. The board turned down proposals in or closer to the WGXC listening area in East Greenbush in Rensselear County, at Howe Caverns in Schoharie County, and at the Belleayre Resort in Ulster County.
