Arthur Cusano is reporting in the Register Star the Columbia County Department of Human Services may open a satellite office at the new health clinic in Hudson. The clinic, Hudson River Healthcare, is located in the 700 block of Union St. The county clinic would be the on-site provider of mental health services. One county staff member would be on site one day per week, according to Columbia County Director of Human Services Michael Cole. The satellite office would not have drug prescribers or provide initial assessments. A psychologist would be in the office about seven hours a week at first. The staff at the health clinic would be able to refer visitors showing signs of mental issues such as depression or anxiety. Read the full story in the Register Star.
