Hops are growth industry in Hudson Valley

Justin Riccobono of the Dutchess Hops farm in Lagrangeville and Hudson Valley Hops consulting group that helps build hops and grain farms, visted WGXC's Hudson studio to discuss local hops. On "The Hudson Valley Tap Show" with host Ken Landin of Crossroads Brewery Riccobono said he knows of 17 Hudson Valley hops farmers, and 25 breweries, and he explained the hurdles, handicaps, and helpful hints of local hops. Riccobono also discussed the Farm Brewery License that the state legislature passed in 2012, allowing brewers to have sample rooms. Riccobono and Landin discuss other brewing and growing issues around Hudson Valley hops on this show from Tue., Oct. 21, 2014.
