The Greenville Pioneer is reporting the Greenville Central School District has established a scholarship in memory of the late Donna Accuosti, the district's assistant superintendent. Accuosti died Jan. 15, at the age of 55. “Donna was more than a respected colleague to the faculty and staff of Greenville Central School District, she was a deeply caring friend. Donna modeled the respect and care we all seek to embody, constantly asking about the events and people that mattered to each person,” said Superintendent Tammy Sutherland. Sutherland acknowledged Accuosti's 20 years of service to the children of the Hudson City School District and her leadership role within the Greenville Central School District. “Her laughter, genuine interest, and compassion were constantly present within her relationships. Donna's daily presence will be missed, but her influence will remain.” The Donna Accuosti Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Greenville senior every year based their profound care for others and an interest in the service of teaching.
