New parking meters going in on Warren St.

Nathan Mayberg reports in the Register Star the number of free Warren Street parking spots in Hudson is dwindling. The installation of more than 60 new parking meters between Third and Fourth streets is currently underway. The plan, projected to cost the city $32,000, was approved by the mayor and the Hudson Common Council. Although he expressed excitement about the additional meters, Mayor William Hallenbeck Jr. said there are no estimates on how much revenue the new meters will produce. Business owners on the block are less than enthusiastic about the change. One shop owner called the change "more of a hassle than anything else." Read the full story in the Register Star.
