Tyson inducted into International Boxing Hall of Fame
Mike Tyson was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame Sunday in Canistota, NY. In his induction speech, Tyson thanked his now deceased coach Cus D'Amato, who trained the future heavyweight champion at his Catskill gym. Tsyon was inducted alongside Sylvester Stallone, and others. On the YouTube clip above, Tyson speech begins at 7:46.

Hudson’s 400 relay team wins NY title
Mike LaBuff in the Register-Star reports that the Hudson High School’s boys varsity track and field 4x100-meter relay team of Akeil Alert, Tayron Bryant, John Eisner and Kadeem Chung took home the New York State championship with Friday, June 10 at the Division II competition at Caledonia-Mumford High School. The team recorded their season-best time of 43.04 seconds. Bryant also qualified for the finals in the 200-meter with at time of 22.4. “They’re having an amazing year and this is the first time someone won in the states for Hudson in over 30 years,” Hudson Bluehawks coach Andrew Ohrin told the newspaper. LaBuff also writes that according to results posted on www.section2harrier.com, "Coxsackie-Athens’ Brianna Blunk finished seventh in the state final for the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 58.27; New Lebanon’s Allannah Carpinello finished seventh in the girls discus final with a throw of 107 feet, 6 inches; and Ichabod Crane’s Jennifer Recevuer was 17th in the girls pole vault championship with a distance of 10 feet," LaBuff wrote. Hudson television show preview
Carole Osterink reports in The Gossips of Rivertown that public television station WMHT will hold a preview screening of "Our Town: Hudson," with video clips shot by folks in Hudson at 7 p.m. at Hudson High School.
