Village development corp. will not dissolve

Kyle Adams reports in The Daily Mail the members of the Local Development Corporation for the Village of Catskill board of directors voted Tues., Oct. 2, not to dissolve the five-year old organization. Instead, it will prioritize the collection of nearly $250,000 in defaulted loans to local businesses. The group also intends to resolve its regular meeting schedule and appoint officers. A search will be conducted for a consultant to contract as executive director. Founded in 2007, the organization provides microenterprise and job creation loans to assist individuals start, or expand a business. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
