Bartlett to run for Columbia Co. Sheriff

Nathan Mayberg reports in the Register Star Columbia County Sheriff’s Department Capt. David Bartlett has officially announced his intention to run for Sheriff. Bartlett is a 29-year veteran of the department. He has been the captain of the law enforcement division for the past eight years and chairs the county's Safe Schools Committee. A native of Auburn, he graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with a liberal arts and humanities degree. Bartlett is seeking the Republican nomination. Sheriff David Harrison has announced he will retire at the end of the year. Harrison has endorsed Bartlett as his successor. Read the full story in the Register Star.
