Sprague case reassigned over conflicts

W.T. Eckert writes in The Daily Mail suspended Cairo Police Chief and Catskill Police Officer Christopher Sprague was back in court, Wed., Apr. 10. He was rearraigned in Hunter Town Court after the case was transferred from Cairo due to a conflict of interest. Greene County Judge George J. Pulver Jr has also ordered Sprague's prosecution be handled by Schoharie County District Attorney James Sacket. Sprague was arrested on charges of tampering with evidence and filing false reports, March 21, based on allegations leveled by the state police. He is expected back in court April 24.
