Sales tax revenues up regionally

All counties in the WGXC listening area had sales tax revenues grow in 2014, according to a report released Feb. 3 from New York's comptrollers office. Columbia County had the biggest increases in the state, ahead six percent from 2013, up to $35,690,081. Greene and Ulster counties rose the least, 1.2 percent and .2 percent, respectively. Schoharie (5.4 percent), Delaware (5.5), Albany (4.3) and Dutchess (4.9) also had healthy growth, while Rensselaer (2.8) and Schenectady (3.9) showed more modest growth.
