Vol. 195 Take Me Down to the Hospital. Our hero needs to be surrounded by doctors.

Thanks this week for the songs from The Replacements ("Take Me Down to the Hospital"), Mudhoney ("Touch Me, I'm Sick"), The First Edition ("Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In"), Johnny Cash ("Ring of Fire"), and Golden Earring ("Twilight Zone"). Clips and excerpts from Rod Serling; Rudy Giuliani; Cartman; Richard Nixon; Beck Bennett, Alec Baldwin, and Jim Carrey from "Saturday Night Live;" Chris Wallace; Stephen Colbert; Trevor Noah; J.L. Cauvin; John Oliver; Stephanie Ruhle; Kayleigh McEnany; Jim Acosta; Anderson Cooper; Hallie Jackson; Sean Conley; and Jake Tapper. An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another five months of episodes. Anyone who would like to work on a production, or have their work air in this timeslot, should contact info@wgxc.org.
