Albany considers prison reforms after escape

Matthew Hamilton in the Albany Times Union reports that prison reforms are being discussed after the June escape from the Clinton Correctional Facility, and the correctional officers union wants to make sure it is included in that conversation. "Our client's perspective here is that we're going to fully cooperate," said Dennis Vacco, whose law firm has joined the union's legal team. "We fully expect to be a direct and substantial participant in the formulation of the policies and procedures that come out of this inquiry." Amid the manhunt for convicted killers Richard Matt and David Sweat, Gov.
