Still no Global service from Stewart

MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting it has been more than two years since US Global Airways announced plans to initiate international service from New York Stewart International Airport, but the airline remains virtually non-existent. The company has no airplanes and its parent company, Baltia Air, has not submitted the required filings to the Securities and Exchange Commission for two years. As a result, Baltia cannot sell stock. Airline spokesman John Lampl said Global maintains an office at Stewart, but the phone was disconnected more than a year ago to save money, he said. The airline’s website has been taken down, as well, as a way to cut operating costs, Lampl said. “Our ultimate objective is to still start service at Stewart,” he said. When Global announced its plans in 2017, officials said they intended to purchase Boeing 747s and establish routes to the Caribbean, Europe, Russia and the Middle East.
