One dead, one critical following Hudson shooting

Bill Williams is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media one young man is dead and an adult is in critical condition after a shooting in Hudson, Sat., May 16, police chief Edward Moore said. Multiple police agencies responded just before 11 p.m. to reports of a shooting in a parking lot at the Hudson Terrace Apartments on Front Street. At roughly the same time the reports of gunfire were received, police were also notified that two people suffering from gunshot wounds had been brought to the emergency room at Columbia Memorial Hospital. According to MidHudsonNews [dot] com the victims arrived in two separate vehicles. An 18-year-old was pronounced dead and a 30-year-old was airlifted the Albany Medical Center trauma unit. He was said to be in critical condition as of late Sunday. The names of both victims have been withheld. On May 2, the city marked its third shooting incident in three months when shots were fired in the area of Robinson and North 2nd streets. Three shots were fired, possibly from a car, but there were no reported injuries from that incident. State police and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office are assisting in the investigation and the State Police Forensic Investigations Unit processed the scene at the Terrace apartments.
