The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook. A potent storm system is expected to impact the area through today, from the Capital Region southward. The potential for some river flooding and tidal issues along the Hudson will be closely monitored. Strong southeast winds may also develop, especially in areas where channeling occurs. As the storm system is expected to only gradually pull away during the weekend, a prolonged period of upslope snow showers may set up over portions of the region. Additional snow accumulations are possible.
