Ryan Anglim is reporting in The Daily Mail a 16-acre brush fire nearly consumed the woods surrounding Oak Hill Road in Kiskatom, Thu., Apr. 2. Officials said the fire was caused by a homeowner burning brush piles on his property. Kiskatom Fire Chief Andrew Lubera reported no damage to any homes along the road and no injuries of any sort. The ban makes it illegal to use a burn barrel or an open pit as a means for incinerating trash. Burning leaves is prohibited at all times of the year statewide. Lubera said the homeowner, who has not been identified, was unaware of the ban. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
