7 p.m.: The Jazz Disturbance: Richie Goods Bassist and composer Richie Goods got an early start playing in church and clubs while still attending the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts High School. After he moved to New York City, he studied with jazz bassists Ron Carter and Ray Brown and credits jazz pianist Mulgrew Miller for helping him hone his skills early in his career. Currently he tours with Grammy-winning trumpeter Chris Botti. Goods’ new release with his fusion/funk band Nuclear Fusion is called “Three Rivers.” Quote from Goods: " “Three Rivers” is a project I’ve nurtured for the last couple of years, writing six new compositions, arranging some fabulous but obscure pieces and finding just the right performers to deliver my vision for this work." The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for east central New York, including Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Rensselaer and Ulster counties, for Thu., March 26. A half an inch to three quarters of an inch of rainfall is expected during the day and into the evening, which will likely combine with some snow melt to produce significant rises on rivers and streams. There is also the potential for isolated ice jams as ice breaks up on some rivers and streams.
