12 a.m. (midnight): Radio News: Cell Phone Unlocking The White House says "It's time to legalize cell phone unlocking." More than 114,000 Americans signed an online petition to legalize cell phone unlocking, and the White House agreed it is a good idea.
12:05 a.m.: Radio Stew: Dialing Int Turn your dial, or dial in your phone, to this show about the sounds and songs of dialing. We'll learn "How to Dial a Rotary Phone," "Dial M for Murder," and order a dial wand. Songs from The Kinks ("Around The Dial"), The Replacements ("Left of the Dial"), Morrissey ("Dial-A-Cliche"), Scanner ("Turning The Dial"), and others. "Deal Dial Tone" radio play from 31 Down is also included.
1 a.m.: Jason Sloan "Saturday Afternoon Show" rebroadcast from Oct. 27, 2012 with Baltimore-based artist Jason Sloan, and his project "Whiteout," a new series of live FM transmission performances exploring and questioning the aesthetic of noise on the radio. These new textural works are created live and in the moment through the use of multiple analog electronic instruments and a transmitter.
3 a.m.: Static Experiments with static, songs about static, and the concept of stasis is discovered here. With Glenn Branca, Barbara Ess, and Christine Hahn's "Static" recorded live at Riverside Studios, London, Feb. 24, 1979. 8 a.m.: Democracy Now! hosted by Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez. "Democracy Now!" broadcasts live from Freedom to Connect, and hosts a live webstream of the event both days on the DN! website. The conference brings people together to promote internet freedom and preserve internet values such as universal connectivity. Aaron Swartz, the late Internet freedom advocate who took his own life earlier this year, gave the keynote address in 2012. This year’s event is "dedicated to the work Aaron still had left to do." Tune in to "Democracy Now!" from 8-9 a.m. ET from Silver Springs, Maryland at the conference for the regular show each day, which will feature guests at Freedom to Connect. Afterward democracynow.org will livestream the panels and speeches, including an address by Aaron’s partner, Taren Stinebrickner-Kauffman. On Tuesday Glenn Greenwald gives the keynote address.

10 a.m.: Economic Update: Economics and Family Values Updates on the "sequester," the US auto industry, and lessons from South Africa. Interview with psychotherapist Dr. Harriet Fraad on capitalism, family, and "family values." Comments on a coop cafe and bookstore business, on banks using bailout money to evade taxes, and on social versus private investment.
2 p.m.: The Mort Report (Premiere): The Mort Report is about getting into the edges and cracks of reality via acting and comedy. We'll deal with real events that are typically reserved for fiction (think movies and books about Zombies, ET's, conspiracies, Mayan Calendars), but that are very "real". It's all really about transitioning back to the magical world from the overly rationalized we're forced into.
