Gibson votes with, against Republicans

From Wikipedia.[/caption]The Daily Freeman roundups the recent votes of Kinderhook-based Republican Representative Chris Gibson, and he voted with and against his party this week. Gibson voted against an amendment to HR 4435 to prohibit military spending to deal with climate change, which passed 231-192. Gibson also voted to close the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, by the end of 2016, which failed 177 voting to close the prison, to 247 to keep it open. Gibson also voted against a bill that passed 303-121, that would scale back the National Security Agency’s authority to collect bulk data on Americans’ phone calls and other telecommunications under federal statutes such as Section 215 of the USA Patriot Act.
