7 p.m.: The Jazz Disturbance: Karen Mantler, Sam Sebren Composer Karen Mantler and longtime friend and WGXC programmer Sam Sebren will be in the studio. Sebren and Mantler, along with David Middleton and Paul Johnson, formed the experimental no-genre band Splotch in New York City from 1993 to 1999. Mantler has a new record, "Business Is Bad" on XtraWATT/ECM, with her trio featuring clarinetist Doug Wieselman and bassist Kato Hideki. In addition to songs from "Business is Bad," Mantler will play examples of her other work over the years. Hosted by Cheryl K.
