Karrie Allen is reporting in the Chatham Courier the Chatham Recreation Committee met last week to discuss ideas for the future of Crellin Park and the town's recreational programs in general. The committee consists of town officials, members from the Morris Memorial Association Board, a senior citizen, and representatives of the Family Resource Centers of Columbia County, the Chatham Area Business Alliance and the Chatham school district. The committee hopes to engage a broader section of the community on programs and management of the park. Currently, there are 95 families involved in some way at Crellin Park. The next public public meeting of the committee will be held August 11. Read the full story in the Chatham Courier.
