The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the southeast Catskills, southern Taconics and the Mid-Hudson Valley, including Greene, Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties through 4 p.m., Mon., Jan. 12. Periods of snow, sleet and freezing rain, with accumulations of one to four inches are expected. Snow will begin before sunrise Monday and then mix with, and change to sleet and freezing rain, turning to rain by early in the afternoon. Precipitation may turn back to snow before ending Monday evening. Hazardous travel conditions can be expected Monday morning, especially during the morning commute.
