Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA announced Jan. 9, the receipt of a $75,000 gift to fund its low-cost veterinary clinic. The grant, from the Manhattan-based PARC Foundation, will be used to support the public clinic intended to provide services for cats, dogs and rabbits from households with limited incomes. Services include spay/neuter and minor surgeries, vaccinations, disease testing, flea, tick and worm preventatives, microchipping, basic dental cleaning, as well as health and wellness exams. The Humane Society collaborates with local veterinary practices to provides the services. The PARC Foundation was incorporated in 2006. It is committed to helping neighborhoods expand their potential by promoting contemporary art and architecture. “We are very grateful to the PARC Foundation for their support.
