More noise about dogs in Stuyvesant

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="285" caption="Glencadia Dog Camp, from website."][/caption]The Glencadia Dog Camp was back before the Stuyvesant Planning Board Monday, April 25, this time with a noise test to help determine whether the dogs there are making noise that neighbors can hear. The dog boarding business operated by William Pflaum on Rybka Road in Stuyvesant Falls, has been the subject of one of our area's notorious planning board disputes, with longtime residents resisting a business from a newcomer. Twenty-one people spoke at the public hearing for Pflaum's site plan last month, according to Bob Green in the Register-Star March 30. Ten, including family members, said they came from out of the neighborhood, town. None of the non-neighbors opposed the dog camp. Of eleven neighbors who spoke, six said that noise was a problem, while five, two from the same household, said it was not, according to Green's story. At last night's planning board meeting, Pflaum submitted noise tests to the board. Martin Roby recorded the meeting, and Pflaum posted it on his blog. Listen for yourself here.
