Storms will move to the southeast at 15 to 20 mph.

A bill (A.8744) passed the New York Assembly unanimously recently, and now heads to the State Senate (S.7018), that bans the sale in New York of products with “micro beads,” tiny synthetic particles that are used as abrasive scouring agents. Fish and other animals ingest the tiny particles that do not degrade as quickly as the natural materials that larger companies are now using instead of micro beads. Downs will explain the issue and how it effects the Hudson River at 9:30 a.m. Plus, a preview of the "Wage / Working" jukebox, which moves from the Cairo Library to the Athens Cultural Center with an opening there May 31.
