Schoharie gets improved cell service
Oct 04, 2015 12:02 am
The Greenville Pioneer reports that cell phone reception in Schoharie County should improve soon with Verizon adding equipment on three towers along Route 30 between Grand Gorge and Middleburgh. The New York Power Authority is paying $3.5 million for the improvements, after the storms surrounding Hurricane Irene in 2011 knocked out much communication in the area. The towers are near the Gilboa Dam, and on Dave Brown Mountain Road in Blenheim and off Clauverwie Road in Breakabeen.
