County, state, and federal offices are closed Tue., Nov. 11 for Veteran's Day, along with schools and other businesses. Veteran's Day events from The Daily Freeman:
• Hyde Park: A ceremony hosted by the Hyde Park American Legion Post. No. 1303 will be held at 10:50 a.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial, 4383 Albany Post Road.
• Red Hook: A service hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7765 will be held at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park, North Broadway.
• Rhinebeck: A ceremony hosted by the Women’s Auxiliary and Montgomery American Legion Post No. 429 will be held at 11 a.m. at the Rhienbeck Cemetery, U.S. Route 9 and Mill Road.
• Tivoli: A ceremony hosted by the Harris Smith American Legion Post No. 524 will be held at 11 a.m. at Monument Hill, Broadway.
• Cairo: A ceremony hosted by the American Legion Mohican Post No. 983 will be held at 11 a.m. at the Angelo Canna Park, on Joseph D. Spencer Lane.
• Palenville: A service hosted by the Pallenville Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary will be held at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Monument, 717 state Route 32A. The ceremony will include a playing of the National Anthem, a wreath laying and a playing of taps. Light refreshments in the fire hall will follow.
