12 p.m. Monday Musical Matinee: New Ideas The Piano of John Cage & Friends The palette of piano sounds was expanded in the hands of John Cage and his teacher Henry Cowell. Listeners will hear music by both composers, as well as students and contemporaries who were part of the stream of new ideas about the piano as a sound source: Morton Feldman, Bunita Marcus, Sorrel Doris Hays, et al.
