Kyle Adams reports in The Daily Mail the Heart of Catskill Association will kick off the seventh year of its “Cat’n Around Catskill” program with an artist and sponsor reception Sun., Feb. 10, at the BRIK Gallery on Main St. The program installs uniquely painted cat sculptures throughout the village for the duration of the summer, culminating in an auction and gala in the fall. There will be a twist the program this year: The addition of dogs. “We just thought we’d change it up a little, so like for every five cats we’re going to throw in a dog,” she said. “So it’s going to be called Cat’n Around Catskill in the Dog Days of Summer.” The pieces will be on the streets by Memorial Day.
