More turmoil from the Catskill Housing Authority
Nov 26, 2019 12:56 am
Sarah Trafton reports for Columbia-Greene Media that three members of the Catskill Housing Authority board announced resignations, and a meeting of a board member and the former executive director may have violated the U.S. Housing and Urban Development agency’s code of ethics. Previously, Executive Director Nina Krupski stepped down and Catskill Housing Authority Chairperson Sam Aldi would not say why she left. Former board member Erica Brantley said Nov. 20 that the Catskill Housing Authority and Krupski are in litigation, which would make board member Kimberly Jones-Holt’s recent meeting with Krupski against the rules. The board’s attorney, Lisa Joslin, said there is no litigation between the parties. Jones-Holt and board member Louise Schwartz resigned Nov. 22, and Patrick McCulloch said he will resign at the end of December. At the Nov. 20 board meeting Jones-Holt said, “First of all, I can have lunch with Nina any time I want to.” Brantley then said that is not true when the Authority is in litigation with Krupski. Jones-Holt then did not deny the litigation, but she says, “I was not by myself when I had lunch with Nina.... I did nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong by having lunch or brunch with her. We are friends.” Aldi said he was waiting for legal advice before making a comment. Read more about this story at HudsonValley360.com.
