The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Mid-Hudson Valley, Catskills, Capital District and beyond, from 7 p.m., Mon., Dec. 28 through 7 p.m., Tue., Dec. 29. Freezing rain, snow and sleet are forecast. Accumulations of one- to three-tenths of an inch of ice is possible, on top of two to four inches of snow. Snow will fall first on Monday night, changing to freezing rain by Tuesday morning. Hazardous travel conditions and isolated power outages are possible.
