Ohio developer picked for Hudson waterfront project
John Mason is reporting in the Register-Star Sustainable Community Associates of Oberlin, Ohio, has been selected as developer of the former Kaz warehouse parcel located in Hudson's First Ward. The mixed-use development will be located near Tanner's Lane and Front Street. Sheena Salvino, director of the Hudson Development Corporation, announced the choice Mon., Apr. 11. She said the company will now move forward to negotiations for the redevelopment of the building and the land into residential, retail, co-working, office and live/work spaces. The 2.2-acre parcel is owned by the Hudson Development Corporation. Salvino said the intention is to sell the property. The warehouse will be demolished prior to the transfer. This will be Sustainable Community Associates' fourth major project, and its first outside of the Cleveland area. Ben Ezinga, one of the company's principals is from Chatham and Ghent.
