Hunter considers revised site plan

Jim Planck in The Windham Journal reports that a capacity crowd at a March 24 public hearing on Hunter's revised Site Plan Review Law spoke out against the proposal, with all but one speaker expressing concern about the draft. In question is a 25-page revision of a six-page law last updated 18 years ago, according to Planck, and the language addressing timber harvesting got several comments. Under the current draft, a town permit would be required for timbering harvest in Hunter. Board members said that after receiving comments from the Department of Environmental Conservation, a public hearing will be scheduled for further comments. Read the full story in The Windham Journal.
