Thanks to Peter Brauch for donating this turntable coffin to the WGXC Satellite Studio.[/caption]Back in August, WGXC had to leave the Catskill Community Center, and moved in to the Catskill Library. The station determined a mobile studio would be best, and held a small pledge drive to create a satellite studio that moves a mixer, CD players, computers, micrphones, and more in one unit on wheels. The only element left -- a turntable coffin for mobile DJ-ing -- is now being added to the WGXC Catskill studio thanks to a Peter Brauch donation.

WGXC holds a Fundraising Advisory Committee at 6 p.m., Nov. 11, at the WGXC Hudson studio, 704 Columbia St., floor 2, Hudson. This group provides leadership with respect to fundraising events and major donor gifts for WGXC 90.7-FM. The advisory committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month, at 6 p.m. Those seeking to take an active role in WGXC's fundraising efforts are welcome to join the advisory committee, and should contact Station Manager Lynn Sloneker (lynn@wgxc.org) to learn more.
