Mar 15, 2021 5:30 am

Aliya Schneider is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media the renovation of Promenade Hill Park in Hudson is now underway. The project is intended to make the Hudson River view accessible to everyone and to redevelop the lower section of the park. Construction is scheduled to finish in December. The park improvements will use $1.1 million of the city's $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative fund. An Americans with Disabilities Act compliant walkway will replace the stairs that currently connect the lower section of the park to the promenade. The lower plaza will also be rebuilt, with a raised curb separating the park from the road, new lawn space and a path to the promenade with new seating and lighting and more added. The park plaza was constructed in 1977, while the promenade section was built in 1795. Read the full story at HudsonValley360 [dot] com.
