HRC Showcase Theatre, dedicated to staged readings of new plays, announces the final reading of their 27th anniversary season at the First Reformed Church in Hudson. "So You Can Look Ahead" by Edward Morgan was chosen from over 160 plays to receive the top prize in HRC Showcase Theatre’s annual W. Keith Hedrick Playwriting Contest. Set in New York City in 1932, the play involves a marriage that is thrown into turmoil over a pregnant immigrant girl, a prestigious job, and the powerful eugenics movement. Barbara Waldinger, HRC Showcase Theatre's Artistic Director, will lead a cast of professional actors including Mel Cobb, Robert Meskin, Julianna Monteleone, Amy Prothro, and Giovanni Pucci.
