MidHudson News is reporting the state Public Service Commission has approved the New York Energy Solution Project, a 54.5-mile, 345-kilovolt transmission line at a cost of $530 million. The line will start in Rensselaer County and extend to Dutchess County, beginning in the town of Schodack, and onto Stuyvesant, Stockport, Ghent, Claverack, Livingston, Gallatin, and Clermont in Columbia County; and the towns of Milan, Clinton and Pleasant Valley in Dutchess County.
